AlfaPure systems are purpose-built for removing oil, grease and solid particles from water-based liquids such as coolants, lubricants and wash liquids.     The AlfaPure range is a series of modular systems for cleaning the many kinds of water-based service liquids used within industry, including coolants, lubricants and wash liquids. Rapidly and effectively removing any oil, grease or particles from these liquids makes them last much longer before they need replacing. Continuous cleaning extends the life of wash liquids by up to six times, while coolants can be made to last as long as ten years, with dramatic savings in replacement costs. The costs of disposing of contaminated liquids and filters are also greatly reduced. Clean, abrasive-free service liquids help reduce wear on machine tools and other related equipment, ensuring longer service life and lower maintenance costs for the machinery they are used in, with knock-on benefits all down the line. AlfaPure units are built around centrifugal separators, one of Alfa Laval’s core technologies. Alfa Laval disc stack centrifuges provide rapid efficient three-phase separation of water, oil and sludge, all at the same time. In most cases, the units are installed in a bypass system so they can operate continuously without interrupting machinery operations. This also means no plant redesign is needed. Each unit is a complete ready-to-run system built on a modular basis, including separator, feed pump, sludge pump and a touch-screen PLC control system that makes it extremely easy to operate, dealing with all valve and pump settings automatically. AlfaPure installations are extremely compact, with a high capacity-to-size ratio. The largest unit in the range cleans up to 7,000 litres/hour while only taking up about 3 m2 of floor space.
