The IndiTop indication unit is a straightforward, easy-to-use electrical feedback unit for use with Alfa Laval sanitary valves. It can be set up either manually or via a PLC.     The IndiTop valve indicator is designed to provide accurate, reliable information about the status of the many sanitary-standard valve units used in food, dairy and brewery installations and in biopharmaceutical processing. LEDs provide a clear visual indication so that staff can always see the current valve position and whether power is on or off. The unit also sends electronic feedback about the valve position and status back to a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) via a fixed cable – it is compatible with all major PLC digital input cards. The IndiTop valve indicator fits onto all Alfa Laval actuated valves, as well as virtually all other kinds of valves fitted with actuator “mushrooms”. It uses the same technology for all types of valves and is easy to set up either manually or via a PLC. Traditional valve indicator units are rarely capable of maintaining pre-set parameters for valve operation. The IndiTop design solves this important problem by using a state-of-the-art sensor system with a pre-set tolerance band. This does away with any need for adjustment over time, making IndiTop indicators a time-saving “set and forget” solution.
