The ThinkTop® range of valve-top units can be used to control and monitor any air-operated sanitary valve from Alfa Laval – including single-seat, butterfly and mixproof valves.
They are designed to ensure low cost of ownership in every aspect of valve operation, along with reliable, accurate control of what happens and when.
ThinkTop units provide reliable, real-time data about the valve's operating status, helping pave the way to full traceability for each production batch.
Automatic reporting about valve condition also helps prevent unscheduled – and costly – production stoppages.
ThinkTop control and indicator units are easy to install and set up, either manually using a foolproof “5-push setup” method, or remotely from a PLC. No dismantling or adaptors are needed, thus saving both time and money.
The combination of a patented “no touch” sensor system and preset tolerance bands means ThinkTop units are also self-adjusting.
This results in a time-saving “set and forget” solution that also keeps production downtime to a minimum, as well as saving on time and manpower for installling, adjusting and checking.
Compared with conventional control tops that only provide “open” and “closed” signals, ThinkTop includes the option of two additional signals plus programmable notification regarding normal maintenance intervals.
An auto-diagnostic feature notifies the operator if any part wears out before scheduled maintenance, so timely intervention can prevent loss of production.
ThinkTop also has a remote control device so maintenance staff do not need to read valve status displays manually. This device can also be used to select service intervals – the valve-top unit will then indicate when it is time for servicing. |
